This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic education and the market needs in the field of engineering. It is based on providing a group of selected students with technical skills that helps them acquire the skills required by the labor market. The Program is divided into three different phases; Selection,Technical and professional training and finally recruitment of the best performing team in ECG. There's also the ECG cup for the best performing University. It's given to the University with the top performing teams and the one that wins the cup for consecutive years will keep it forever.
Developing their communicative, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Getting exposed to real life situations and problems they might face in the future.
Making new friends in their major and widen their social network.
Turning all their theoretical studies into actual work where they can see how things are done in practical life.
Being trained on using all the state of the software and techniques to prepare them for the labor market.
Facilitating and supporting program graduates in finding jobs through our CV pool on UTW website and through the different Chambers of Commences in Egypt and outside Egypt.
ECG will help them in starting their career by sending their CVs to other engineering firms we deal with.
University to Work
UTW initiative aims to provide Egyptian selected students with the technical skills required by market needs in the engineering field. The whole initiative is held under the umbrella of Community participation so that Engineering Consultants Group (ECG), the Excellent-Way Training Center, Rotary Clubs in Egypt, and students' bodies in Universities agreed to implement the University to Work initiative.This initiative aims to produce world class skilled students among Egyptian universities and get them well-qualified by developing their technical and professional skills, and molding their characters to cope with the labor market needs. Under the umbrella of Corporate responsibility, ECG Engineering Consultants Group, The Egyptian European Organization for Training and Development (EEOTD), and Rotary Clubs in Egypt, an agreement was set to implement the University to Work initiative. The list of the universities participating in the Initiative includes but does not exclude, Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Banha University, Helwan University, the AUC, El –Shorouk Academy, the 6th of October Higher Institute for Technology , Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Applied Arts.
